Diocesan Youth Ministry

This past year, every Diocesan-sponsored youth program has experienced strong growth in participation. Thanks to your support of the Bishop’s Annual Appeal, the younger generation of our Church is nurtured in their love for and knowledge of Jesus Christ.

April witnessed the launch of the first annual Youth and Young Adult Hispanic Encuentro. And over 800 teens participated in the 37th Annual Catholic Youth Convention in May.

African Ancestry Ministry and Evangelization (AAMEN) 

Thanks to your support of the Bishop’s Annual Appeal, African Ancestry Ministry and Evangelization (AAMEN) organizes events through which individuals of African descent may maintain their identity, heighten their visibility, and enhance their lives as Catholics. All are welcome to participate.

Funding from the Bishop’s Annual Appeal supports the Safe Environment Program of the Diocese of Raleigh, which strives to empower parishes, schools, families, and individuals to create and foster safe and healthy environments for children and youth in all aspects of their lives.
