The wedding mass is a joyous celebration, and also a dignified event taking place within the church. The wedding songs should be in accordance with the approved liturgy. The music should be carefully arranged to enhance the atmosphere of the joy of the celebration while concurrently maintaining the norms of the Church.

The musical director or choir director of your parish has excellent experience in the provisioning of wedding music programs. Some of the assistance they can give may include the selection of:

  • Appropriate hymns
  • Appropriate solo music
  • Cantors
  • Choir
  • Musical instrument accompaniments

You may have a soloist or musician that you would like to use to augment the usual musical program, and the musical director can help with the practical arrangements to facilitate this person.
