About
Our Holy Father Benedict XVI has declared a special Jubilee Year in celebration of the Apostle Paul from June 28, 2008 until June 29, 2009. This year-long celebration will mark the two thousandth anniversary of the birth of Saint Paul. The Holy Father foresees this year as an opportunity for all Christians to enter more deeply into the teachings of the first great theologian of Christianity whose proclamation of faith in Christ has marked our entire Tradition so profoundly.
The Year of St. Paul will conclude in the Diocese of Raleigh with a Mass at St. Paul, New Bern on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at 11:00am. Bishop Michael Burbidge will be the principal celebrant. A reception will follow.
