2006 Emmaus Conference Proceedings
The Diocese of Raleigh's 6th annual Emmaus Conference was held last October at Immaculate Conception Church and DeSales Formation Center, Carolina Beach. The conference theme was "Who Do You Say I Am." Keynote speakers from the United States Council of Catholic Bishops; Catholic Charities USA; and the Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge, Bishop of Raleigh, and other leaders in the Diocese of Raleigh engaged the conference participants to respond to Jesus' profound question: Who Do You Say I Am?
Throughout the Emmaus Conference, catechists prayed, listened, learned, celebrated, and discerned their response and returned to their communities, parishes, schools and homes to live their answers through their vocation of teaching.
