- Catholic Charities Board Seeking New Members
Recruitment of candidates for membership on the Catholic Charities Board of Directors has been announced by the Board. This year, in order to balance the Board, we are especially in need of candidates from the Cape Fear, New Bern, Piedmont and Tar River deaneries, from smaller/rural parishes; from diverse ethnic and racial communities. Prospective members will be proven leaders who have time, experience and skills which will complement others on the Board. Identified areas of experience are Board development, resource development and public relations. - Adoption Services - Catholic Charities has provided adoption and child welfare services since 1898. We assist families seeking either domestic or international adoption from an authorized placement source. Adoption services currently include: consultation on how to get started, pre-placement assessments and home studies, updates to existing home studies, and post-placement supervision.
